The first step to getting the Carminica shader is to complete the Lost Sectors on Io. There are three Lost Sectors on Io, and each one must be completed in order to earn the shader.

The second step is to complete any of the Heroic Adventures on Io. These are marked by a yellow banner on the map, and there are a total of six to choose from.

The third and final step is to complete the weekly Nightfall strike. This can be done with a fireteam of three players, and you must have a Nightfall ticket to enter.

Once you've completed all three steps, the Carminica shader will be yours. You can find it in your inventory under the "Shaders" tab.
