In order to level lockpicking in The Burning Crusade, there are a few things players need to keep in mind. The first is that the minimum level to train in lockpicking is now 70. The second is that the old instance key dropped items, such as theDirge's Kickin' Chimaerok Chops, are no longer needed to train up to 375 lockpicking. The third thing to remember is that the new outland locks require a different set of lockpicking tools, which can be found in various cities and camps throughout outland. Lastly, it should be noted that there are now two new types of locks in The Burning Crusade - handcuff locks and box locks. Handcuff locks can only be picked by rogues with the "Handcuff Key" item, and box locks can only be picked by those with the "Box Key" item.
