First, you need to have a World of Warcraft account. If you don’t have one, you can create one here.
Once you have an account, you need to download the beta client. You can get the client here.
Once you have the beta client installed, you’ll need to create a character. When creating a character, you’ll be able to choose from the following races:

Orc
Dwarf
Night Elf
Gnome
Tauren
Troll
Undead
Blood Elf
Draenei
Goblin
Worgen
Pandaren
Nightborne
Highmountain Tauren
Void Elf
Lightforged Draenei

The next step is to choose your class. There are a total of 12 classes in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. They are:
Warrior
Paladin
Hunter
Rogue
Priest
Death Knight
Shaman
Mage
Warlock
Monk
Druid
Demon Hunter
Once you’ve chosen your class, you’ll be able to choose your specialization. You can change your specialization at any time, so don’t worry if you’re not sure which one to choose.
Now that you’ve created your character, it’s time to jump into the beta! When you login, you’ll be able to choose between two game modes:
Normal Mode: This is the standard game mode. You’ll be matched up against other players who are of similar skill level.
PvP Mode: This mode pits you against other players in PvP combat. You can queue for specific types of PvP content, or you can opt to join a BG or Arena match that’s already in progress.
