Escape from Tarkov is a first-person shooter video game being developed by Battlestate Games. It is a hardcore and realistic online game which features survival elements and player-versus-player combat. The game is set in the fictional Norvinsk region in north-western Russia, around a "Special Economic Zone" that served as a gateway between Russia and Europe.
Start by tweaking the settings to make the game more forgiving.
You won't die in seconds like you would in the real game, and you can up the enemy AI's accuracy to help you learn how to better avoid their bullets. It'll still be challenging, but you won't be starting from nothing every time you die.
In the main menu, go to Options > Game Settings. In the General tab, check the following:

This will make the game look a bit worse, but it will also run a lot smoother, especially on lower-end PCs.
Then, jump into a offline mode game and start practicing.
We recommend playing on the Factory map to start, as it's small enough that you won't get too lost, but big enough that you can still get a feel for the game.
Once you're in the game, take your time and explore. Getting a feel for the layout of the map is important, as is getting used to the controls. Pay attention to where the exits are, and try to memorize the location of buildings and cover.
If you want to up the ante, you can turn on enemy AI in the settings menu. This will make the game a lot more difficult, but it will also be a lot more accurate to the real thing
