World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King was released on November 13, 2008. It was the second expansion set to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) World of Warcraft, following The Burning Crusade.

Wrath of the Lich King introduces a vast number of new features to the game, including the new continent of Northrend, home to the Lich King and his undead army. Players are able to adventure up to level 80, an increase from the previous level cap of 70. In addition, the game introduces the new Hero class - the Death Knight.

The expansion set also includes a number of changes and additions to the game's existing systems, such as the talent system, the graphics engine, and character models.
