It's been over two years since Lost Ark was first announced, and there's still no sign of the highly anticipated MMO coming to consoles. Lost Ark is developed by Smilegate, best known for the Crossfire FPS franchise. The game was initially slated for a 2016 release in Korea, but has been delayed multiple times since then.

While there's no official word on when Lost Ark will finally release, or if it will come to consoles, there's been plenty of speculation. In January of 2018, a Korean games rating board listed the game for PlayStation 4, indicating that a console release might be in the works. However, Lost Ark's producer has since stated that the listing was a mistake, and that the game is not currently planned for release on consoles.

So, what's the hold up? It's possible that Smilegate is simply taking its time to polish the game before release. However, it's also possible that the console market isn't as receptive to Lost Ark as the developer had hoped. In South Korea,lost ark where the majority of Smilegate's revenue comes from, PC gaming is far more popular than console gaming. The PlayStation 4 has only a 5% market share in the country.

It's also worth noting that Lost Ark is an incredibly ambitious game, with a huge open world and numerous systems to learn. It's possible that Smilegate simply doesn't think that consoles are capable of running the game well.

At this point, it's impossible to say for sure whether or not Lost Ark will come to consoles. However, given the ongoing delays and the lack of official announcements, it seems unlikely that we'll see the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One anytime soon.
