We are going to tell you about the best builds and glyphs for the highest DPS in raids, what stats to choose for the gems, and some tips that can help you do a lot of DPS in raids.

If you are playing alliance, create a gnome mage because of +5% INT buff. If horde - troll, berserk spell gives 20% haste buff.

1. Talents

This build gives high damage and save HP, if you taking a lot of damage.

2. Glyphs

Best major glyphs, but you can take what you need in minor. Here are the most optimized glyphs for any situation.

3. Gems

Gems can change based on your build, equipment and caps, but here are the best gems.

Meta: Chaotic Skyflare Diamond

Red: Runed Cardinal Ruby

Blue: Purified Dreadstone (2x to activate your meta)

Yellow: Reckless Ametrine

4. Professions

In WoTLK all professions are balanced, but the most useful professions for the arcane are:

• Jewelry – must need. 3 stones that give +117 SP.

• Leatherworking - wrist enchant (+76 SP)

• Alchemy - +46 SP from the potion

• Enchantment - Rings enchant (+46 SP each)

• Blacksmithing - 2 prismatic sockets for the gloves and wrist.

• Inscription – Shoulder enchant +70 SP and 8 mana restore/5s

• Tailoring – Cloak enchant +60 SP.

5. Equipment Enchants

Here are a lot of enchants that can only be used while you have specific professions, so you can manage what you need, but here is a very popular enchant build.

Head: Arcanum of Burning Mysteries

Shoulder: Greater Inscription of the Storm

7. Rotation

Since arcane mages drain mana very quickly, let's look at everything that can help you save time and be helpful in combat time. If the fight is going to be long (like the Lich King), correct rotation of the use Evocation and Mana Sapphire, it is important to use them as efficiently as possible, for example, in cross phases. "Mana Sapphire" before battle must not have a cooldown and be fully charged. When your mana drops to 10-15 percent, immediately press "Mana Sapphire" and keep up the rotation.

There are 2 rotations: opener and normal. Once you finish popping your cooldowns, you start the normal rotation and use your DPS cooldowns when they come back up.

Burst Damage Opener

Open with Presence of Mind and then Arcane Blast 3 times.

Cast Mirror Image.

Cast Icy Veins + Arcane Power + Trinkets

Spam Arcane Blast until you get a Missile Barrage to proc and then cast Arcane Missiles

Now we can go to the normal rotation.

Cast Arcane Blast 3 or 4 times until the Missile Barrage buff procs, then cast Arcane Missiles.

If the proc isn’t happening, you can continue to cast Arcane Blast if you have the mana or use Arcane Barrage to reset your stacks. You don’t want to cast Arcane Missiles without the Missile Barrage buff active.

8. DPS Stat Priority

There is a lot of hit rating that we can get from talents, but the problem of arcane mage is a global cooldown. So we need to cap haste for higher DPS.

1. Hit (17%) (11% with talents with our build)

2. Spell Power - More - higher DPS.

3. Haste 1200 minimal, for cap 1400.

4. Critical Strike - can be obtained by your equipment.

5. Spirit (Increases crit rating)
